Helen Coombs is a Specialist Nurse Injector, Co-Founder and Clinical Training Director of Access 2 Aesthetics, with 15 years in the industry. She is also a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Specialist Trainer for Galderma, one of the household names in aesthetics.

Helen leads all of A2A's training. She also founded and runs Pro-Juvenate Aesthetics, her own clinic, which now sees 2,000 clients and carries out 5,000 treatments a year. Those numbers show what's possible: as well as teaching you to inject safely and confidently, Helen shares the business advice that built Pro-Juvenate, so you can see what you could achieve with your own clinic.

As a Galderma KOL and Specialist Trainer, Helen is regularly invited to speak as an expert guest speaker and inject in front of live audiences at showcase events.

Her work with Galderma also takes her around the world to study and learn alongside some of the leading doctors and nurses in aesthetics, which keeps her right up to date with best practice.

Her clinical background

Helen qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Nursing in 2008. She spent four years in theatres before becoming a Nurse Practitioner in the Ophthalmology department at the University Hospital of Wales (the Heath) in Cardiff, where part of her role was treating patients with blepharospasm using toxin. In 2013 she became the first nurse injector in Wales to inject the eye for macular degeneration.

Helen also worked as an Oculoplastic Specialist Nurse at UHW, carrying out minor operations as part of her daily role. That medical grounding underpins everything she teaches in aesthetics.

Leading training at A2A

As Clinical Training Director, Helen leads A2A's training for qualified medical professionals. She specialises in and leads our advanced courses, including Advanced Toxin and Dermal Filler, PDO COG Threads, Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty, Tear Trough, Lip Master Class and IV Vitamin Therapy, and she also leads our Sculptra training.
